Edward Francis Kircus, 77, of 1648 Cedar Rock Church Road, died Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at Palmetto Health Baptist Easley.
Born in Oconee County, a son of the late James Henry and Mattie Bell Evatt Kircus, Mr. Kircus retired from the Foster Plant of Alice Manufacturing Company and was a member of Cedar Rock Baptist Church where he belonged to the Men's Sunday School Class. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served with the US Army.
Surviving are his wife, Frances Keith Kircus of the home; a son, Edward Michael Kircus(Heidi) of Pickens; three daughters, Karen Lance (Gary) of Pickens, Janet Hedden (Wade) of Easley, and Vickie Talley (Mike) of Travelers Rest; a brother, Harley Kircus of Greenville; three sisiters, Leila Nell Carter, Sara Pilgrim, both of Pickens, and Barbara Moore of Buffalo, SC; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kircus was predeceased by a brother, James Kircus and a sister, Eleanor Brejcha.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Johnny Spearman officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to a charity of ones choice.
