Edward "Shakey" Mattison, 65, died at his home Friday, October 5, 2018. He was born in Pickens County December 31, 1952, the son of Arthur M. and Dorothy Hamilton Mattison.
Eddie graduated from Daniel High School in 1971. He later became a certified welder, working on numerous construction projects. When he wasn't working he loved to go fishing and having family dinners.
Eddie is survived by living wife, Pameta Mattison; a son, Michael Smith, of Spartanburg; three daughters, Shauna Green (Michael) of Pendleton, Michelle Mattison (Tyson Alexander) of Central, and Stacey Mattison (Jermaine Walker) of Central; six grandchildren, Ladasha Green, Devante Mattison, MaKayla Mattison, Samyra Mattison, Tyland Mattison, Aariona Walker, and Jermaine Walker, Jr.; a great grandchild, Gabrielle Clinkscales; three sisters, Hazel Benson (Garfield) of Clemson, Louvenia Brantley of Baltimore, MD, and Marie Mattison of Baltimore, MD; two brothers, Ernest Mattison (Sandra) of Georgetown, and Melvin Mattison of Clemson.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Clarence, Odell, and Arthur Frank Mattison.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 10 at the Duckett-Robinson Funeral, in Central. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens in Clemson.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM Tuesday, October 9 at the funeral home.
