Edward L. Miller was born on September 2, 1945, in Hazard, Kentucky, the son of the late Emmanuel and the late Maxine Vest Miller.

Eddie/Lin, to many, came to Greenville, SC in 1972 following his seminary graduation from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky. He pastored 4 churches in the Greenville and Easley area until his retirement. After retiring from full-time ministry, he taught his beloved Promise Seekers Class at Rock Springs Baptist Church for almost 20 years, where he attended until his homegoing.

His pride in life, and he felt his greatest achievement was his family. He is survived by his wife of almost 58 years, Della Freeman Miller; his two daughters, Becky Miller Wilson (Tim) and Deanna Miller Godfrey; his grandchildren, Meg (Andrew), Miller, Matt, Gabe, Ally and Kara; his great- grandson, Colson; his sisters, Ann (Danny), Karen (Anthony) and Juanita; his niece, Sarah Ann; nephews, Sean and Nick(Cheryl) and their children Peyton and River; his brother-in- law and sister- in- law, Bruce and Jane Freeman.

He loved the Lord with all his heart and spent his hours during his declining health poring over God’s word and sharing his gleanings with others. I know he is rejoicing in the presence of his Lord.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Rock Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM, on Sunday, before the service at Rock Springs Baptist Church.
