EDWARD F. OLIVE, SR Clemson
Edward Fleming Olive, Sr., 83, husband of Freida Squyres Olive, died Friday, August 7, 2009. He was a native of Haynesville, LA and was a retired Professor of Education at Clemson University. He was a long time member of the Clemson First Baptist Church serving as a Deacon for many years. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corp.
In addition to his wife he is survived by sons: Edward F. Olive, Jr. of Clemson, John Squyres Olive (Amy Batson) of Pendleton and Samuel Patrick Olive (Angela Martell) of Houston, TX and grandchildren, Lindsay Taylor Batson and Julie Catherine Olive.
DUE TO AN UNEXPECTED ILLNESS, THE FAMILY HAS RESCHEDULED THE MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR 11 AM, FRIDAY AT CLEMSON FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Music Ministry of the First Baptist Church, 397 College Ave., Clemson, SC 29631.
