Edward Piacenti, 92, of 311 Simpson Road, Anderson, SC, died, Wednesday, May 18, 2010 at Hospice of the Foothills, Seneca, SC.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Vincent and Rosalie Guggino Piacenti. He worked as a printer and was also an avid stamp and coin collector.
Surviving are his wife, Marie Frances Piacenti, of the home; one son, Vincent Edward Piacenti (Carol) of Central, SC; one daughter, Paula Beatrice Saur (Robert) of McKinney, TX; grandchildren, Cmdr. Chad Piacenti USN, Michael Saur and Christopher Saur; great-grandchildren, Anthony Piacenti, Michael Piacenti, Emily Saur and Haley Saur.
Mr. Piacenti was predeceased by four brothers, Russell, James, Patrick, and Charles Piacenti of NY and FL.; one sister, Mary Pagano, of Schenectady, NY.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held Saturday, May 29, 2010, at 1pm in the Chapel of St. Andrews Catholic Church in Clemson, SC with Father Sandy McDonald officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Schenectady NY.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the home of Vincent and Carol Piacenti.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Foothills, 390 Keowee School Rd. Seneca, SC, 29672.
