Edward Pomeroy, Jr. passed away on April 1, 2017 at Pendleton Manor Nursing Home in Greenville.
Born in Irvington, New Jersey, Edward was the son of the late Edward and Helen Pomeroy.
Left to cherish his memory are a son, Edward Pomeroy, III (Jessica); a daughter, Shirley Bodner (Dennis); a brother, Kenneth Pomeroy (Diana); grandchildren, Megan, Timothy, Douglas, Paula, Edward, and Abigail; and great-grandchildren, Elijah and Michelle Parker.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Pomeroy was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Shelton.
Mr Pomeroy was an auto enthusiast. His passion was being a drag racer and he was a holder of several track records at Raceway Park in Englishtown, New Jersey. He was also an excellent mechanic; people would travel for many miles to have Ed fix their car.
The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials may be made directly to The Alzheimer's Association.
