Edward Richard Waker, Jr.

Mr. Edward Richard Waker, Jr., 91, husband of the late, Rozzie Madell Thompson Waker, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025.

Born in Detroit, MI, he was a son of the late Opal Elizabeth Morrison and Edward Richard Waker, Sr.

Ed was a proud U.S. Navy veteran, and was a man of many talents who could turn his hand to just about anything. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in MI.

Surviving are two sons, Richard Eugene Waker (Wendy), of NC, and Edward Michael Waker (Gail), of MI; two daughters, Clara Elizabeth Parton (Michael) of IN, and Angelia Dell McFarland (Gregory) of Pickens; brothers, Donald Waker (Rosemary) and Samuel Martin (Wilda), both of MI; thirteen grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to his loving wife of 71 years, he is predeceased by brothers, Robert Waker and Jerry Martin.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, November 7, 2025 at the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home, Downtown. A private burial will take place in M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
