Edwin Earl Newton, 92, husband of the late, Dorothy Moore Newton, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018 at Oconee Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Newton was born in Pickens County and was a son of the late, Augustus Franklin and Julia Cornelia Greene Newton. He was self employed as a brick mason, was a veteran of the U. S. Army Air Corp and a member of Pickens View Wesleyan Church.

Surviving are three sons, Eddie Newton, Kenneth Newton and Mike Newton; one sister, Becky Monroe; one brother, Alfred Newton; Three sisters, Martha Lesley, Lucille Stuckey and Evelyn Smith; and six grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 3:00 PM in M. J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 P M until 2:00 P M prior to the service at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.
