Liberty, SC

Eileen Marie Vollrath Shultis, 56, beloved wife of Curtis Shultis, met her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Long Island, NY to the late Theodore Vollrath and the late Eileen Dowler Vollrath, she was of Christian faith.

Eileen's life was marked by her unwavering commitment to both her family and her career, embodying a spirit of compassion that resonated with all who knew her.

Eileen's career began as a registered nurse, leading her to earn her master's degree to become a nurse educator in pediatrics. Eileen was passionate about nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals, sharing her knowledge and shaping their journey with her gentle guidance and encouragement. She approached each day with boundless energy, always eager to share her wisdom and love for teaching. She was dedicated to helping children, serving at Shriner's Hospital for Children until her illness.

In her personal life, Eileen was equally devoted, constantly making decisions alongside her husband, a testament to their strong partnership and mutual respect. As a proud military wife, she embraced the challenges that came with her husband's service in the Coast Guard, providing unwavering support and maintaining a warmth that made home a sanctuary.

Eileen's personality was a source of light to everyone around her. She cherished her family and time spent with them making countless memories. She was easy to talk to, and had an innate ability to make others feel at ease. Her sweet and kind nature, coupled with her heart of gold, drew people toward her. Friends often shared how her presence would brighten even the dullest of days, and how her laughter had a way of lifting spirits.

An avid dog lover, Eileen, found joy in the companionship of her furry friends. They were not mere pets to her; they were cherished family members who enriched her life with endless warmth and affection.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by nephew, Dennis Vollrath.

Along with her husband of 32 years, she is survived by sons, Devin Shultis (Abby) and Trenton Shultis (Litzy); brother, Ted Vollrath (Rachel) and nephew, Teddy Vollrath (Christine).

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:45 PM on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road. Her Celebration of Life will follow at 1:00 PM in the chapel.
