Eleanor Harnish, 97, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 21, 2017, at Foothills Presbyterian Home in Easley.
Born in Torpedo, PA, she was daughter to the late Floyd Almon and Lydia Goodwill Schell.
Surviving are a son, Samuel Warren Harnish, Jr. and wife, Mary Jo Wenckus of Michigan City, IN; daughters, Beth Weber and husband, Norman of Seneca, SC and Janet Eleanor Switzer and husband, Gary of Seneca, PA; grandchildren, Richard, Jeffery and Joseph Harnish, and Nickolas, Jacob, and Kaitlyn Switzer; and great-grandchildren, Ryan, Zach, and James Harnish and Alexander, Charlotte, and Ruth Ann Switzer.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Albert, Hubert, Wayne, and Bernard Schell; and a sister, Bernice Schell Kelly.
Mrs. Harnish was a long-time member of New Rehoboth - Greenville Presbyterian Church in Strattonville, PA and Providence Presbyterian Church in Easley and loved reading, sewing, and her family.
She was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority at Clarion State Teacher's College in Clarion, PA and she was also an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
The family will host a memorial service at a later date at Foothills Presbyterian Community in Easley.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Foothills Presbyterian Community or the Alzheimer's Association.
The family are at their respective homes.
