Eleanor Welborn Owens, 88, died Wednesday, November 29, 2006, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Mrs. Owens, the widow of Lindsey Rutledge Owens Jr. of Easley, lived in Aiken since 1989 and was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church. She was the daughter of the late Della Keys and Wesley Welborn of Anderson County. She was a 1936 graduate of Asheville Teachers' College and taught primary school in Williamston.
In Easley, Mr. and Mrs. Owens were active members of Park Street Baptist Church. They owned Easley Borden Ice Cream Co., Easley Ice Cream Parlor and The Huddle.
