Eleanor Lois Ruttinger Phail, 86, of 109 Buckingham Road and widow of Elmer Herman Phail, died, Friday, July 28, 2006.
Mrs. Phail was born in Detroit, Michigan, a daughter of the late Andrew Maurice and Mary Ann Kellner Ruttinger. She earned her Bachelor's Degree from Eastern Michigan University in 1958 and her Masters Degree from University of Michigan in 1964. She was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority and moved to Easley in 1981 upon her retirement from the Michigan Public Schools after teaching for 25 years. She was a member of Easley Presbyterian Church serving as an Elder, Bible Teacher and a devoted prayer warrior.
Surviving are: three sons, E. Andrew Phail and wife, Mary Jo of Easley, Fredrick H. Phail and wife, Nancy of Tempe, AZ and William G. Phail of Kalamazoo, MI; three daughters, Susan E. Stimson and husband, Richard of Easley, Barbara J. Gutwein of Easley and Carol M Doak of Kalamazoo, MI; brother, George Ruttinger of Inglis, FL; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday at Easley Presbyterian Church with Reverend Dr. Bill Seel. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM, Monday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
