Elisha Remington "Remy" Baker, III, 88, of Flat Rock Road, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at his residence.

Born in Williamstown, NY, the son of the late Elisha R. Baker, II, and the late Myrtle Spielvogel Baker, Mr. Baker retired as a chief scientist with the US Air Force and was a member of Carmel Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of the Barber Shop Quartet of Anderson, the Horseless Carriage Club, the Rolls Royce Club, the SC Antique Car Club and the Antique Car Club International. Mr. Baker was a veteran of the US Army.

Remy and Betty were residence of Liberty for the past thirty-six years.

Surviving are his wife of sixty-eight years, Elizabeth "Betty" Higgs Baker of the home; two sons, Elisha R. Baker, IV, and wife, Patricia, of Anchorage, Alaska; and Greg S. Baker and wife, Paula, of Liberty; a daughter, Elizabeth Alexine McGraw and husband, Dan, of Coos Bay, Oregon; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at a later date at Carmel Presbyterian Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Interim Hospice, 155 Tiller Court, Duncan, SC 29334 or to Carmel Presbyterian Church, c/o Martha Duncan, 492 Flat Rock Road, Liberty, SC 29657.
