Elizabeth Martin Crawford, 83, wife of James "Sonny" H. Crawford Sr. of 104 Pleasant View Drive, died Sunday, February 5, 2006 at the Hospice House of Anderson. Native of Clemson, she was a daughter of the late Edward Austin Sr. and Irene Rogers Martin.
She was owner/operator of Crawford Grocery for 35 years and a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, James H. "Jim" Crawford Jr. and wife, Joan G. Crawford, of Anderson and David C. "Dedo" Crawford of Central; two sisters, Faye M. Garrison of Seneca and Martha M. Curtis of Central; and two grandchildren, James H. "Jay" Crawford III and Joshua Lee "Josh" Crawford.
She was predeceased by six brothers, Rogers M. Martin, Edward Austin Martin Jr., James Hopkins Martin, Thomas Guy Martin, William Alvin Martin, and Calvin LeRoy Martin; and three sisters, Edith Newton, Stroba James, and Mary Martin.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
