Margaret Elizabeth Brewer Fortner, of 313 Grigsby Avenue and wife of William "Dub" Lewis Fortner, passed away Thursday February 5, 2015 at Easley Baptist Hospital.

Mrs. Fortner was born in Easley, SC to the late Joe S. and Ada Mae Fleming Brewer. She was a 1947 graduate of Easley High School and was formerly employed as a beautician at Myers Arnold in Greenville and Margaret's Beauty Shop. She retired from the Credit Bureau of Easley after ten years of service. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Easley for 52 years, where she was a member of the Philathea Sunday School Class and the Oneida Mahaffey Circle.

Surviving in addition to her husband are sons, Eddie Fortner (Clysta) and Allan Fortner (Kristi), all of Easley; grandchildren, Nealy Fortner Boyd, Will Thomas Fortner and Leila K. Fortner.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Willard Brewer and Jack Brewer and sisters, Mary Brewer, Myrtle Freeman and Annette Greene.

Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Sunday at Easley First Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. John Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 2:45 pm Sunday in the narthex of the church.

The family is at the home.
