Elizabeth Holcombe Caldwell Gibson, 91, of Pickens, went to her Heavenly home on Tuesday, May 10, 2016.


Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Parley and Mary Finley Holcombe.


Mrs. Gibson was twice married. Her first husband was the late Wesley William Caldwell, Sr. and her second husband was the late Edward Gibson. She was retired from Mayfair Mills, Glenwood Plant, and was a member of Park Street Baptist Church in Easley. She loved her Lord, her family and any flower that God made.


Surviving are a daughter, Hester Hendricks (George) of Easley; sons, Wesley William Caldwell, Jr. (Nancy) of Dade City, FL and Bobby Timothy Caldwell of Pickens; a special grandson raised in the home, Rodney Vinson of Pickens; step children, Jimmy Gibson, Bobby Gibson (Margaret) and Carolyn Nix (Dr. Alton) all of Easley, Mary Lou Aiken of Pickens and Anna Nell Stegall of Greenville; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; sisters, Bertha Patterson of Pickens, Earline Roper of Easley and Jewell Durham of Gaffney; and brothers, Johnny Holcombe of Pickens and J. Roy Holcombe of Easley.


In addition to her husbands and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Frances Jennings; a stepson, Curtis Gibson; sisters, Eula Hudson, Vera Jameson and Beatrice Gantt; and brothers, James and Herman Holcombe.


Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.


The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM at the funeral home.
