Elizabeth Ann “Liz” Martel, 77, of Central, wife of the late Raymond J. Martel, Jr., passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on May 29, 2024.
Born in Natick, MA, she was the daughter of the late Robert E. Dagg, Sr. and Elizabeth B. Dagg (Perry). Liz graduated from Framingham North High School, Framingham, MA. She followed her family to Florida and retired from Dan’s Fans City of Venice, FL. Following Raymond’s passing, Liz moved to South Carolina with her daughter and enjoyed the friendships she made throughout the area and while attending Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Elizabeth loved going to the theater, shopping, gardening, but most of all, she poured her heart into her grandchildren, Jessie, Macey, and Reign.
She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie S. Littrell of Central and Jennifer L. Grannan of Englewood, FL; granddaughters, Jessie L. Peyton and husband Matthew and Macey R. Grannan; great-granddaughter, Reign L. Peyton; brother, Michael F. Dagg of Bourne, MA; sister-in-law, Susan M. Dagg (Guertin) of Silver Springs, FL; extended family, MSG Stephanie B. Hume, Evey M. Hume, and Frantzly M. Belzince.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband Raymond J. Martel, Jr.; her parents, Robert E. Dagg, Sr. and Elizabeth B. Dagg (Perry); brother, Robert E. Dagg, Jr.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Elizabeth Ann Martel will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 310 Church Street, Central, SC.
