Elizabeth Walker Palmer

Mary Elizabeth Walker Palmer, 98, widow of Pete Palmer passed away Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Lila Doyle Nursing Center.

Born in Demorest, GA, she was a daughter of the late J.D. and Pearl Berry Walker. She was a retired employee with Defore Mill and was a member of East Clemson Baptist Church.

Surviving are sons, Jim Palmer (Linda) of Fort Myers, FL, Jackie T. Palmer of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Pat McKee of Seneca; daughter-in-law, Margaret Palmer of Westminster, SC ;grandchildren, Tim Thomas (Ginger), Gay Englebert, Marty McKee (Robin), Jimmy Palmer (Isa), Fred Palmer (Cleonice), Jay Palmer (Ashli), Brad Palmer, Doug Palmer (Whitney) and Greg Palmer (Kristen); and numerous great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Palmer was predeceased by sons, Harrell and Darrell Palmer, daughter, Jean Alford; son-in-law, Maurice McKee; daughter-in-law, Mary Alice Palmer; brothers, J.D. Walker and Garnett Walker; sister, Flo Hartley; grandson-in-law, David Englebert; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be 2 PM, Wednesday, May 23, 2018 in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:50 PM, Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family will be at the home of Pat McKee.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to East Clemson Baptist Church or GHS Hospice of the Upstate.
