Elizabeth Beard Smith, 78, of 110 Smith Hill Rd., wife of the late Amos Z. Smith passed away Monday, October 10, 2011 at her home.
Born August 4, 1933 in Catawba County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Emmitt Beard and the late Gracie Litten Beard. She was a seamstress all her life and was a member of Peters Creek Baptist Church. She loved all her family as well as music, working puzzle books and her little dog "Priss".
She is survived by her children, Katherine Redding of Dacusville, Patrick Smith (Tanya) of Six Mile, Kenneth Smith (Teresa), Pam Garrick (Amos) and Scott Smith (Pam) all of Dacusville; one brother; one sister; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by one sister.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, October 14, 2011 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Earl Reid officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM Friday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Peters Creek Baptist Church Youth Fund
The family is at their respective homes.
