Elizabeth Mae "Beth" Trice Swank

Elizabeth Mae “Beth” Trice Swank, 81, of Seneca, wife of the late Arthur Alcott “Art” Swank, passed away peacefully May 11, 2022.

Born in Elmira, NY, she was the daughter of the late Dick and Esther Hudson Trice.  On September 27, 1962, Beth married the love of her life, Art Swank, and together they spent 57 wonderful years with lots of memories.  They moved to South Carolina in 1991 because their granddaughter, Hannah was born, and they wanted to be near their family.  Beth was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church, where prior to her retirement, she served as Church Secretary. She enjoyed cooking, and could play the piano and organ like no other, especially hymns.  There was no doubt she most loved time with her granddaughter and two great grandchildren, who she adored.

She is survived by her son, Ed Swank (Kathy) of Seneca; daughter, Pamela Spearman (Donnie) of Bryson City, NC; brother, Clinton Trice of Lancaster, CA; sister, Ellen Dixon of Springfield, IL; granddaughter, Hannah Trotter (Todd) of Easley; great grandchildren, Hank and Caroline Mae Trotter.

A memorial service to celebrate Beth’s life will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at ALIVE Wesleyan Church in Central, SC.

Those who wish to remember Beth in a special way may make donations to Cottingham Hospice House, 390 Keowee School Road, Seneca, SC 29672 in memory of Beth Swank.
