Elizabeth Smoak Turner, 90, wife of the late Claude Norton Byrd Jr. and William Turner, died Friday, February 12, 2010 at her home.

Born in Cordova, S.C., a daughter of the late Hampton Dibble and Minnie Frances Smoak, Mrs. Turner was a retired Motel Manager and a member of Easley First United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Claudia B. Holcombe and her husband, David, of Easley; one brother, Harold Smoak of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; one sister, Gladys Ruple of Branchville, S.C.; two grandchildren, Jennifer Anderson and Stephanie Holcombe; three great-grandchildren, Alex Anderson, Savannah Anderson, and Tyler Crooks.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Easley First United Methodist Church with the Reverend Jim Correll officiating.

Visitation will be held, following the service, in the church reception hall.
