Ellen Hamilton Head, 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones Monday, October 11, 2021. She was born in Central June 22, 1937, a daughter of Lawrence and Nancy Crawford Hamilton. She was a member of the Full Gospel Temple in Seneca.
After high school Ellen studied cosmetology and went on to work as a cosmetologist. She was an accomplished artist who also enjoyed playing the piano and guitar, as well as singing. She was an immaculate housekeeper who adored her family. Her favorite saying was, "Watch God work."
Ellen is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Charles of Central; four children, Larry Head (Myra) of Ft. Myers, FL, Audrey Dawkins (Randy) of Easley, Cheryl Smith (Louis) of Surfside Beach, and Gerald Head (Ann) of Leesville; a close family friend, Richard Martin of Palatine, IL; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; siblings, Marie Roberts, and Leila Turner.
In addition to her parents Ellen was preceded in death by six siblings, Betty, Talmadge, Lawrence Jr., Virgil, Dewey, and Geraldine.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, October 14 at the Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, 108 Cross Creek Rd., Central. Scroll to the video player below to view the service.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
