Ellie Albertson Clardy, 85, of 137 Clover Street, went to be with the Lord Monday February 4, 2008 at Cannon Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Clardy was born in Liberty, a daughter of the late Henry F. and Nancy Crowe Albertson. Mrs. Clardy retired from Sangamo Electric and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Liberty.

Surviving are sons, Wallace Clardy and David W. Clardy, both of Liberty ; a daughter, Shelba C. Porter, of Pickens ; brothers, Frank, Dan, Truman, Jimmy, Wylie, Harold, Jerry and Ozell Albertson, all of Easley ; sisters, Rosa Lee James, of Liberty, Sue A. Whitman, of Greensboro, NC and Della A. Thompson, of Easley ; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Clardy ; her step-mother, Ruby Bishop Albertson ; brothers, Willard, Judge, William Ray and Colonel Albertson ; sisters, Dola Holder Bagwell, Bernice A. Gilstrap and Ruby Mae Albertson.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Friday at Emmanuel Baptist Church conducted by the Reverend William Heatherly and the Reverend Guy Roberts. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The family is at the home of Shelba and Carlos Porter, 634 Amberwood Road, Pickens, and will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown.
