Ellis Artie Waldrop, 61, husband of Sharon Sheriff Waldrop of 165 Pug Drive, died Saturday, October 17, 2015 at his home.
Born in Spartanburg, he was a son of Mary Sylvania Greene Waldrop of Gaffney and the late Ellis Judson Waldrop. He was an Independent Truck Drive and previously worked for many companies. He was a graduate of Greenville Tech and was a founding member of the Greenville Tech Alumni. He loved animals, westerns and Radio Controlled Model Cars. Ellis was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Thomas J. Waldrop of Easley; daughter, Judith Waldrop of Easley; brothers, Letus Greene of Spartanburg, Ben Waldrop of Mount Julliet, TN, Steve Waldrop of Gulf Port, MS, and Gary Waldrop of Salt Lake, UT; sisters, Alice Waldrop Jones of Gaffney and Freida Waldrop Ferguson of Bostic, NC; grandchildren, Alexander James Waldrop, Brianna Hoskins, Isaac Waldrop, Hannah Waldrop and Noah Waldrop.
In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Arthur Waldrop; and a grandchild, Preslyn Waldrop.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
