Elmo Franklin "Frank" Curren, 67, of Taylors, SC, passed Tuesday, April 19th, in Greenville.
He was born in Baltimore, MD April 28, 1948 to the late Elmer Franklin Curren and Mary Laura Gantt Curren.
Frank was the pride and joy of his family. His mother owned her own beauty salon and his father, an Army Vet, had a sense of humor, which Frank inherited. Frank traveled across the United States, through Texas and New Mexico, to California where he pursued his dream of television and radio broadcasting. He always loved pictures, and, for those who knew him, he loved to make you smile. Frank was always encouraging, no matter how great the circumstances. He thought of others before himself, and was a faithful man, saying "Give It To The Lord In Prayer."
Frank was proud of his sons, who grew into strong young men and now have families of their own. They all have a love for the Carolina Mountains, and diligently provide for their families.
Frank is survived by his sons, Eli Curren (Amanda), of Greer, SC, and Jacob Curren (April), of Wellford, SC.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 23rd at 1:30PM in Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642, with Pastor David Kay officiating. Private burial will take place in Memory Gardens in Clemson, SC.
Family has requested donations be made directly to Advanced Prosthetics, 1 Brushy Meadows Dr, Greer, SC 29650, or to Miracle Hill, 2419 Wade Hampton Blvd, Greenville, SC 29615, or to Habitat for Humanity, 49 Greenland Drive, Greenville, SC 29615.
