Eloise Stephens Riggins, 81, of 104 Pineview Drive, passed away Friday, August 6, 2010, at her home surrounded by immediate family members.
Born on March 27, 1929 in Pickens County, the daughter of the late Grover Earl Stephens and the late Florence Aleen Kelly Simmons, Mrs. Riggins was an only child.
She graduated from Tri-County Technical College with a degree in Interior Decorating and retired from Rhodes Furniture Corporation after more than twenty years of faithful service.
Surviving are her son, Steven Ray Harris (Paulette) of Ware Shoals; daughters, Tanya Riggins Long (Russ) of Fairlawn, OH, and Renee Riggins Watson (Frankie) of Liberty; grandchildren, Stephanie Pratt (David), Apryl Watson, Ethan Watson, Rusty Long; and great-grandson, Braden Pratt. Also surviving are many dear friends including lifelong friends, Verna Hunnicutt of Seneca and John William Callaham of Liberty. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Riggins was predeceased by her first husband, Kenneth Harris and by her second husband, Raymond Riggins and by two grandchildren, Stacey Harris and Breanna Long.
Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Monday at Greenlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Willie Honea officiating.
Visitation will be from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. Monday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
Flowers are appreciated or memorials may be made to St. Jude, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929.
