Rebecca Eloise Rollins Simmons, 74, formerly of 103 Quail Circle, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at Palmetto Health Baptist Easley.
Born in Central, she was a daughter of the late Will and Myrtie Teat Rollins. She was a graduate of Central High School, was retired from Gerber Manufacturing Company and was an active member of East Clemson Christian Fellowship in Pendleton. She was very family oriented and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are a son, Mark Simmons and wife Rachel of Easley; a sister, Gaynell "Nell" Johnston of Central; and three grandchildren, Andrew, Rebekah, and Paige Simmons. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be 3 PM Saturday at East Clemson Christian Fellowship with Reverends Willard Payne, Joseph Durham, and Fred Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Central.
Visitation will be prior to the service on Saturday from 2 PM until 3 PM at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cancer Society of Anderson; 215 East Calhoun Street; Anderson, SC 29621 or to East Clemson Christian Fellowship; 519 Issaqueena Trail; Clemson, SC 29631.
The family is at the home of her son and daughter-in-law; 1100 Stratford Court; Easley, SC 29642.
