Elsie Norris Evans, 86, formerly of Jasper Street, wife of the late John Evans, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Hosanna Health & Rehab.
Born in Anderson County, a daughter of the late William Rollie and Myrtle Maness Norris, Mrs. Evans retired from the Elljean Plant of Alice Manufacturing Company and was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda Wiggins (Monty) of Taylors and Cindy Moss (James) of Easley; a sister, Mattie Anderson of Easley; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Evans was predeceased by a son, J.C. Evans, and three sisters, Willie Mae Blair, Dolly Gossett and Louise Owens.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Piedmont.
Visitation will be from 12:30 until 1:45 PM Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service
Memorials may be made to Ark Hospice, 101 Grace Street, Easley, SC 29640.
