Mr. Elton Winfield Sloan, 78, husband of Christine James Sloan, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014 at his home.

Born in Pickens County, the son of the late Rev. Roy W. and Viola Barnes Sloan, Mr. Sloan was a retired supervisor from Mayfair Mills and a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He was a US Army veteran.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of the home, are a son, Rocky Sloan of Easley; two daughters, Cindy McGregor (Steve) of Easley, and Christy Korosec of Liberty; three sisters, Brenda Holden and Betty Merck, both of Easley, and Joyce Dillinger of Hendersonville, NC; and three grandchildren, Kelly Sloan, Brett McGregor, and Scott McGregor.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, April 6, 2014 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Randy Smith officiating. Entombment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum with military honors.

Visitation will be from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM Sunday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, prior to the service.

The family is at the home.
