Emily Capers McDonald Sims, 89, formerly of Lenhardt Road, passed away Monday, April 29, 2013 in Charleston.
Born in Georgetown on December 6, 1923, Mrs. Sims was the daughter of the late Walter H. and Marian Bernice MacDonald McDonald. She was a homemaker and a member of Easley First United Methodist Church.
Surviving is her husband of seventy-one years, James Johnson Sims, Jr.; two daughters, Elizabeth McDonald Whitt of Charlotte, NC and Claire Hamilton Grubb of Pinopolis; and two grandsons of Charlotte, Robert T. Whitt, Jr., and James K. Whitt. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sims was predeceased by two brothers, Walter Stuart McDonald and WalBern McDonald.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 until1:30 PM Saturday in the fellowship hall of Easley First United Methodist Church.
Memorial graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday at Westview Cemetery, Easley.
