Emily Moore Smith, 87, widow of Wallace Elmer “Tadpole” Smith, passed away Sunday, June

23, 2024 at her home following a lengthy illness. Emily was born in Holly Hill, SC, the daughter of the late Noah Berry and Idelle Jackson Moore. She was a graduate of Central High School in Central and a member of Six Mile Baptist Church. Emily loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed listening to gospel music and working in her yard.

Surviving are her three children, Wally Joe Smith and wife, Suzanne, Doris Elrod and husband, Danny and Steve Smith all of Six Mile, SC; four grandchildren, Becky Durham and husband, Tommy, Jennifer Galbreath, Brittany Smith and husband, Amos and Jacob Smith; great grandchildren, Michael Durham, Allison Whiten and husband, Andy, Cody Bolick, Callie Mauldin and husband, Carson, Andre Bergeron, Abbey Ridley and husband, Petey, Haley Bergeron, Tyler Bolick, Jayden Parker and Jaxon Parker; and great-great-grandchildren, Gracie Seigle, Tristan Durham, Emmarie Whiten, Haden Bryant, Liam Bergeron, Draden Bergeron, Mayven Grace Ridley and Makenna Mauldin.

In addition to her husband of 68 years and her parents, Emily was preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie Moore; and a great grandson, Hayden Parker.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Mt. Zion Cemetery, West Main Street, Central.

The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM, Wednesday prior to the graveside service at Duckett- Robinson Funeral Home, 108 Cross Creek Road, Central, SC.

The family is at the home of Doris and Danny Elrod, 190 Knollview Road, Central, SC.
