Emma Joretta Holden Noblitt Brown, 76, formerly of Moore Drive, died Monday, November 12, 2007, at Riverside Nursing Center from complications of ALS.
Born in Cateechee, a daughter of the late Eugene and Ruth Sargent Holden, Mrs. Brown was an artist and was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are "J.R." Brown of Fair Play; two sons and daughters-in-law, Marcus Grier and Judi Noblitt of Charlotte, NC, and Donald Keith and Louise Noblitt of Burnsville, NC; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Perry Clontz of Waxhaw, NC, and Kay and Stephen Pruitt of Charlotte, NC; three sisters, Virginia Humphreys of Easley, Doris Seigle and husband, Bud, of Central, and Peggy McJunkin and husband, Tom, of Santee; six grandchildren, Aaron Noblitt, Taylor Clontz, Angie Talley, Zoe Pruitt, Bradley Noblitt and Daniel Noblitt; and a great-granddaughrter, Alissa Talley. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brown was predeceased by a brother, Robert Holden.
Graveside services will be at noon Tuesday at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at DayStar Baptist Fellowship, 1615 Gentry Mermorial Highway, Easley, immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Interim Healthcare Hospice, 775 Spartan Boulevard, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
