Mrs. Emmie Mayson "Mimmie" Jaynes, 98, wife of the late William C. Jaynes, Sr., passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Oakmont West Nursing Center.
Born in Edgefield County, a daughter of the late Jasper James and Julia Reames Mayson, Mrs. Jaynes was a retired seamstress and a charter member of Grace Bible Church.
Survivng are a daughter, Ruth Kirby of Greenville; a sister, Mary Whatley of Greenwood; six granchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Jaynes was predeceased by a son, William C. Jaynes, Jr., three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2012 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road with Rev. Tom Ross officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Family members are at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Page, 14 Shelton Road, Greenville, SC 29611.
