1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
Psalm 1:1&2

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.
Psalm 37:23

Ernest David Forrest Sr, husband of Barbara Ellen Bagwell Forrest, saw the face of his Lord and Savior on April 11, 2022. Born in Pickens County, he was the son of the late Charlie Otis Forrest Sr. and the late Fleda Elizabeth Gilstrap Forrest.
David was a graduate of Easley High School and Greenville Technical College, (Criminal Justice).
He completed a tour of duty in the United States Air Force as a sergeant in the air police stationed in Thailand, with honorable discharge in 1971. Upon his return to the United States, he began work as a deputy for the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office. He retired after 24 years with the rank of Captain of Road Patrol. He was later appointed a Magistrate in Pickens County and served in this capacity for almost 17 years until his retirement in 2012. His career was filled with a life long love of law enforcement, and he will be remembered as a man of character and integrity.
He loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley. He loved Southern Gospel music, most especially four part harmonies. This helped to instill a love of music in his children.

David Forrest Jr.; his grandsons, Isaac Hayden Alley and John-David Harper Alley; a brother, Charlie Otis Forrest Jr.; 3 nieces and 3 nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
