Ernest Lewis Hamilton, 84, husband of Marjorie West Hamilton, went home to the Lord on Friday, June 15,2012 at Baptist Easley Hospital.
Mr Hamilton was born in Pickens County, to the late Norman L. and Mary Mosley Hamilton.
He was retired from First Baptist Church Easley, and Platt Saco Lowell. He enjoyed his time as courier for Peoples National Bank as well as volunteering at Baptist Easley Hospital. He was a member of First Baptist Church Easley where he was an usher and secretary in the youth department and later Sunday School secretary for the church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters, Rebecca Jones and her husband Warren of Durham NC, Harriette Forry and her husband Fred of Yorktown, VA, and Claire Hamilton of Greenville, three grand daughters Ashley Pearson, Elizabeth Freeman and Allison Fowler and one great-grand daughter Avery Claire Pearson, one brother Frank Hamilton of Easley, several nieces and nephews and great friends who were special and precious to him.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Beatrice Welborn, Alice Hamilton, and Grace Huff and brothers John, Norman, Henry, Clarence, and James Hamilton.
Funeral Services will 11:00 AM Monday June 18, 2012 in the chapel of First Baptist Church Easley with burial to follow in Enon Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday June 17, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be given to First Baptist Church 300 East First Ave. Easley SC 29640.
