Ernest Brooks Lollis, Jr.

Ernest Brooks Lollis, Jr., 93, “Ernie”, of South Carolina, husband of Mildred Lollis, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 9, 2026.

Born in Anderson, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Ernest and Jane Lollis. Ernie was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having been stationed in Germany. He retired from Michelin Tire Corporation and later worked part-time at a baseball card shop, which was more like fun for Ernie. He also worked at the Greenville Drive.

Ernie was a faithful servant of the Lord. He loved singing in church for many years and greeting people at the front door, always with a smiling face and a warm and friendly welcome. He loved bird watching and was a huge sports fan, notably rooting for the Boston Red Sox and the Detroit Lions.

He is survived by his loving wife of 75 years, Mildred Lollis; his son, David Lollis (Kim); his daughter, Sharon Crowe (Billy); his grandchildren, Jeremie Lollis, Matthew Lollis, Elizabeth Davenport, Ashley Howard, Amanda Wardlaw, and Will Crowe; his great-grandchildren; and his brother, Douglas Lollis (Argean).

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Lollis (Helen); and his sisters, Frances Culpepper (Joe) and Elizabeth Shiflet (Mack).

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 12:45 PM on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Robinson Funeral Home – Powdersville Road. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home – Powdersville Road. Burial will take place in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
