Ernest M. Sexton, 84, husband of the late Frances Bragg Sexton, of Marietta, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023.

Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late Rosa Lee Sexton.

Mr. Sexton retired from J.P. Stephens Company in Greenville and proudly served with the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Sexton is survived by sons, Gregory Sexton of Marietta and Tommy Joe Taylor (Christy) of Easley; daughters, Marline Sexton of Marietta, Lisa Dawn Smith (Steve) of Greenville, and Linda Taylor of Central; 22 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his loving wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Sexton; a son, James Carson Taylor, Jr; and a brother, Preston Sexton.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 19, 2023 at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson, SC.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, Easley.
