Mrs. Ernestine Crenshaw Stone, 87, widow of Lloyd Stone, Sr., of 606 East Cedar Rock Street, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday morning, December 17, 2011.
Born in Pickens County, she was the youngest daughter of the late Bluford and Fannie Martin Crenshaw. Mrs. Stone was a member of Nine Forks Baptist Church in Dacusville.
Mrs. Stone is survived by her immediate family; a daughter, Brenda Sullivan Bowie of Liberty, SC.; a son, Terry Chapman and his fiancee', Barbara Feltham of Pickens, SC. and her devoted brother, Theron Crenshaw of Pickens, SC. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Stone was predeceased by her son, Ronnie Sullivan; a granddaughter, Dianne Sullivan; a great-grandson, Christian Hunter Chapman and a son-in-law, Paul E. Bowie, III.
She lived a selfless life, devoted to the love and well-being of her family, who cherished her. She was a beloved aunt to many delightful nieces and nephews, who brought much joy to her life. Her granchildren adored their Nanny, and will always remember her encouragement and unconditional love.
Graveside services will be at Nine Forks Baptist Church on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at 3:00 p.m., with the family receiving friends immediately following the service.
The family will be at their respective homes.
