Ernestine Jones Weathersbee, 78, of 101 Riding Road and formerly of Clarkesville, TN and Sissonville, WV, died Saturday, June 5, 2010 at her residence.
Born in Jackson County, WV, she was a daughter of the late George Washington and Loma Thomas Jones. She was a retired cook in the public schools of Kanawha County, West Virginia, and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are one son, Donald J. Weathersbee and his wife, Shirley of Clemson, SC; three daughters, Brenda Kay Parsons of Charleston, WV, Belinda Gail Whittington of Edgewater, FL, and Delores J. "Dee" Walker of St. Mary's, GA; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Elvin G. "Tex" Weathersbee and a son, Daniel Lee Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Thursday at Long and Fisher Funeral HOme, 6837 Sissonville Drive, Sissonville, WV 25320 with burial to follow in Fisher Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home in West Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
