Essie Lollis Curren- Central

Essie Irene Lollis Curren,86, widow of Elmer F. Curren passed away Sunday, March 9, 2008 at the Clemson Downs Health Center. Born in Pelzer, she was the daughter of the late John Harrison and Elizabeth Sargent Lollis. She was retired from Cannon Mills, a member of Cannon Memorial Baptist Church and the auditorium Sunday School class. She was also a member of Central-Clemson Senior Citizens Center.

She is survived by two daughters and their husbands: Willene G. and Joe Abercrombie of Central, Patsy G. and Bill Fendley of Six Mile; four grandchildren and their spouses, Keith and Susan Abercrombie of Central, Marty Fendley of Six Mile, Angela and Keith Jones of Easley, Robby and Susan Fendley of Six Mile; great-grandchildren, Kyle Abercrombie; Nicholas, Reed, Ryan and Brooke Jones and Grant Fendley; sisters, Ruth Stewart of Pickens, Pallie Finley and Nancy Mayfield of Pelzer and two brothers Dendy and J.H. Lollis of Pelzer. She was preceded in death by her son Charles Kenneth Grant, three sisters and one brother.

The family would like to express their thanks to Julia Bell, her wonderful caretaker and Wilma Kelly for her many visits.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 12 at 3pm in the chapel at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.

The family is at the home of Willene Abercrombie, 427 Zion Circle, Central, SC, 29630.
