Estelle Whitlock Ellenburg, 88, formerly of 205 Arial St., resident of Laurel Hill Living Center, and widow of the late Audrey C. "Shorty" Ellenburg, died Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at Cannon Memorial Hospital.
Born in Anderson County, a daughter of the late J. Luther and Tallie Gillespie Whitlock, she was a retired employee of Woodside Mill of Liberty and was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church.
Surviving are one brother, Harold Whitlock and wife Nell of Easley; and five sisters, Marie Gillespie of LaFrance, Ruth Martin of Anderson, Elizabeth Martin and Sarah Perry and husband Stewart all of Liberty and Evelyn McAlister and husband Jack of Pendleton. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Ernest, Ervin, and Johnny Whitlock.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Friday at Flat Rock Baptist Church with burial following the service in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Friday prior to the service at the church.
The family is at their respective homes.
