Estelle Rolison Groman, 92, wife of William Groman for 66 years, passed from this life Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Oconee Medical Center.
Mrs. Groman was born in Savannah, GA, daughter of the late Jennie and Alec Rolison. She graduated with honors from the University of Georgia Business School and was the first female Planning Department Manager in Savannah for IBM Corp. She was a faithful member of Clemson Presbyterian Church (PCA), Clemson First Baptist Church and University Baptist Churches. She was a member of the Women's University Club in Clemson.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Patricia Groman of Cumming, GA; son, James Groman of Greenville; 5 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 2 PM, Thursday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home. The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home.
The family thanks the residents of the Clemson Downs Retirement Community for their gracious welcome during the brief period of Mrs. Groman's residency.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to University Baptist Church, 411 Pendleton Road, Clemson, SC 29631.
