Ethel S. Dodgens, 89, of 111 Bivens Street, wife of the late Wade Carlos Dodgens, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2010, at Cannon Memorial Hospital.

Born in Caroline County, VA, the daughter of the late Walter Russell and Ada Long Seay, Mrs. Dodgens was retired from LeJuans restaraunt and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are four sons, Wade Dodgens (Athalee), Smokey Dodgens (Linda), all of Easley, Lafoy Dodgens (Vallie) of Greenville, and Mike Dodgens of the home; three daughters, Jean Nix (Virgil) of Pickens, Nathalee D. Bryant (Gene) of Liberty, and Audi Dodgens of Easley; four grandchildren, Phyllis Owens, Wade Dodgens, Jr., Sonya Watt, and Chris Dodgens; six great-grandchildren, Megan and Andrew Owens, Craig, Abbi, Brooke, and Wyatt Dodgens, and numerous step-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Dodgens was predeceased by a son, Patrick Dodgens, a daughter, Barbara Krahl, a brother, William Seay, and a half sister, Bertha Massey.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with the Rev. Philip McAlister officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Visistation will be from 6:00 untill 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

The family is at their respective homes.
