Ethel Yates Merrell, 99, formerly of Towers East, widow of Ewart Garfield Merrell, died Saturday, April 14, 2007, at Laurel Hill Living Center.
Born in Pickens County, the daughter of the late Joseph Riley and Mary Ella Stancil Yates, Mrs. Merrell retired from the White Horse Plant of J.P. Stevens Corporation and was a member of Penrose Baptist Church in Penrose, NC.
Surviving are a son, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Abbott Cemetery in Liberty.
