Eugene John Ryfczynski, 79, of 114 Charles Drive, died Monday, February 18, 2008, at Hospice of the Upstate.
Born in Buffalo, NY, the son of the late John and Rose Stronka Ryfczynski, Mr. Ryfczynski retired from the Marriott Corporation and was of the Catholic faith. He was a veteran of the US Navy, having served in the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann Stelmach Ryfczynski of the home; a son, Michael Ryfczynski of Gulf Breeze, FL; two daughters, Cathy Gaffny of Winchendon, MA, and Linda Morgan of Williamston; a sister, Lorraine Mirowski of Buffalo, NY; four grandchildren, Melissa Gaffny, Nicholas Gaffny, Amy Hanvey and Ernest Sumner, and two great-grandchildren, Jackson Hanvey and Emma Hanvey.
Memorial services will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
The family is at the residence.
