Eunice Brewer Adams

Eunice Brewer Adams, 85, of Seneca, wife to John Quincy Adams, III, passed away August 22, 2025.

Born in Henderson, NC, she was the daughter of the late Willie Brewer and Allie Frisbie Brewer. Eunice grew up in Charleston, graduating from Chicora High School and attending College of Charleston. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, flowers, watching TV shows, especially Jeopardy, and her loving dog “Buddy”. Mrs. Adams was a faithful member of Lawrence Chapel United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband of thirty-seven years, John Quincy Adams, III; daughter, Kelli W. Steely of Anderson; grandchildren, Zachary Pugh, Parker Walton, Kyle Walton, Jacob Steely, Katelyn Steely, and Emily Steely. Mrs. Adams is also survived by three great-grandchildren.

Eunice is predeceased by her son, Kerry Bryce Walton and siblings, Willie “Rockles” Brewer, Frank Brewer, Woodie Brewer, Alfred Brewer, and Nellie Rose Lightle.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home and on Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at J. Henry Stuhr Funeral Home, West Ashley Chapel.

A graveside service will be Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. at Live Oak Memorial Gardens, Charleston, SC.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Interim Hospice, especially nurses, Rachel Hunter, Heidi Taylor, Nicole Downs and aide, Katina Jamison for their care and support to Eunice and the family.
