Annie Eunice Garrison DeLoache, 96, wife of the late James Elliott DeLoache, passed away peacefully Monday, July 9, 2012 at National Health Care of Greer.

Born in Anderson County, Mrs. DeLoache was the daughter of the late Louis Cureton and Cordelia Hutchinson Garrison She graduated from Seneca High School in 1933 and Winthrop College in 1937 with a degree in Home Economics. She was a former teacher at New Prospect High School, where she taught Home Economics. Prior to her marriage in 1942, she was a Home Management supervisor for Farm Security Administration. Mrs. DeLoache became a homemaker then later was a social worker for the Department of Social Services for sixteen years. Mrs. DeLoache was a member of First United Methodist Church in Easley, where she was a Sunday School teacher for sixty years, a member of the Wesley Sunday School Class, and a member of United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Family and Community Leaders Club formerly known as Homemakers Club, American Legion Auxiliary, and an active member and organizer of Meals on Wheels of Pickens County.

Surviving are a daughter, Lynda DeLoache Johnson (Colie) of Easley; three sons, James Elliott "Jim" DeLoache, Jr. (Joan) of Easley, Louis Benjamin DeLoache of Greenville and William Garrison DeLoache (Janny) of Charlotte; and seven grandchildren, Deborah Lynn Johnson, Laura Ann Gilstrap, William Colie Johnson, Olivia Bree DeLoache, Jeremy Austin DeLoache, William Thomas DeLoache and Rebecca Rawls DeLoache.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. DeLoache was predeceased by a daughter, Cordelia Ann DeLoache; and five brothers, Clyde, Paul, Henry, Charlie and Sam Garrison.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Easley. Private Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Friday from 1:30 PM to 2:45 PM in the Fellowship Hall at First United Methodist Church.
