Eva Loretta Eberly

April 3, 1938 — February 3, 2021

Eva Eberly, 82, of Easley, went into eternal rest on February 3, 2021.
Eva was born in Greenville County, the daughter of the late James Lloyd and Claire Gray Bailey. She was known by many names, some of which include, Ma, Grandma, Old Mama and Grandma Eva. No matter which name connects you to Eva it most likely centered around "Ma", because that is exactly who she was to every lost soul she met. A devoted mother who gave boundless love and only ever asked for us to be happy.
Eva left behind a poem for her family to help heal after her passing. "It is sweet to know I have lived this long. Every day God takes some of his children home. Do not wait until my hand is trembling to help me hold my cup. Do not wait until my time is up, if you love me let me know! Hold my hand when my step is slow. Brush my hair and wash my face, always give me one more embrace. If a tear should flow from my eye say Mama we know the reason why. When my feet are cold and it's warm outside remember Mama loved you, everyone until the day she died."
She is survived by her sons, Joey Sims and wife Brittany and Jeff Eberly, both of Easley; daughters, Vicki Miles and Amy Sims, both of Easley; sister, Judy Kleder and husband Don; grandchildren, Nikkie Walker, Marissa Smith, Savannah Park, Chloe Puckett, Jeremy Bridges, Haley Parks, Rayme Gault and Tara Decker. Mrs. Eberly is also survived by countless great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, extended family and everyone she ever took under her wing and welcomed into her home.
Eva is predeceased by her husband, Gerald Eberly, her parents, brothers, Tommy and Robert Bailey and beloved son, Tony Gault.
