Eva Curtis Waldrop, 94, formerly of Johnson Street, Pickens, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at The Magnolia's of Easley.

Born February 4, 1916 in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Leila Welborn Curtis. Eva retired from Sangamo Electric Co. in Pickens. She was a member of Secona Baptist Church, where she belonged to the Sonshine Class. Gardening and quilting were some of her favorite hobbies.

Surviving are two daughters, Bettie Ellenburg (Sammy) of Easley and Jane Staton of Pickens; five grandchildren, Shirley Truluck of Greenville, Rickey Ellenburg of Easley, Mike Staton of Pickens, Mark Staton of Denver, NC and Lynn Romers of of Stanfield, NC; ten great- grandchildren; a special nephew and wife, Cecyl and Louise Waldrop; and a cousin, Johnny A. Duckworth. She was predeceased by her son, Bobby Joel Waldrop; her husband, Ross V. Waldrop; one sister, Dollie Perry; and two brothers, Christopher Curtis and Billy Curtis.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Friday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with the Rev. Dr. Roger Couch and Rev. Jeff Whaley officiating. Burial will follow at Mile Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Ray Truluck, Rickey Ellenburg, Mike Staton, Don Kinney, Tommy Porter, and Gary White.

Visitation will be from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.

The family is at the home of a daughter, Bettie Ellenburg, 171 Store Road, Easley, SC 29640.

The family members express a special thanks to all the caregivers at The Magnolias as well as to Tami Lee at Countryside.
