Evelyn Belcher, 87, of Richlands, Virginia, passed away suddenly at the home of her son, Rev. Michael Belcher, January 5, 2023, in Pickens, SC.

Born, Evelyn Corina French, August 1, 1935, in Richlands, VA, to Flora Augusta Ferrell French and Charles McNeil French of Richlands. She was the eldest of three daughters born to Flora and Charles French. Evelyn lived and worked in Richlands most of her life.

Evelyn will always be remembered as a loving Daughter, Sister, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She was blessed with a kind and friendly spirit, and she enjoyed meeting and visiting with friends; she never met a stranger. She was constantly bragging about her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She attended Lakeview Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Kyle Nelson Belcher and her eldest son Terrance Kyle Belcher (Terry).

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Rev. Michael Belcher and wife Denease, Pickens, SC; her sisters, Sylvia and husband Joe Blair McGlothlin, Cedar Bluff, VA and Charlotte and husband Harry Robinett, Denver, NC; grandchildren, Taryn and husband Dylan Sayles, Birmingham, AL, Marissa Belcher, Destin, FL, Justin Belcher, Pickens, SC, and Kelsey and husband Tyler Nolin, Pickens, SC; great grandchildren, Kinsley Legvold, Whitt Legvold, Parker Legvold, Jett Sayles, Birmingham, AL, and Haddon Nolin, Pickens, SC; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 14, 2023, from 11:00 AM until 11:45 at Lakeview Baptist Church in Pickens with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM in the church sanctuary officiated by Rev. Michael Belcher. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens, SC.
